The annual XChange event was held this week in Washington, DC. This week in Washington, DC, I attended XChange 2013, the largest independent channel industry event. This annual event brings together industry experts and over 1000 solutions provider executives from across the US and Canada to discuss the changes happening in the industry and strategies for the future. It is a great chance to network and it was great to see Cisco perform so well in the annual awards once again.
Each year at this event, UBM Channel, publisher of CRN, presents the Annual Report Card (ARC) Awards, which give partners the opportunity to rate their vendors in a number of categories.
I’m so proud of Cisco’s strong presence in the ARC awards. This year, we won the overall award for Converged Infrastructure Systems and all three sub-categories. We were also the overall winner in the Enterprise Networking Infrastructure category, claiming two sub-categories: product innovation and support. Read More »
We’ve been really busy but also very thrilled about the work we’re doing to future-proofing the network, and it seems we’re not alone. One of our latest innovations, adaptive radio modules for the AP3600, has been selected by UBM as a Best of Interop finalist for the Wireless award category!
It’s an honor to be recognized for our innovation and technological advancements in wireless, and we wanted to share a bit more about our submission with you.
What are the Adaptive Radio Modules?
The Adaptive Radio Modules a family of solutions in a modular form factor that allows customers to adapt their wireless network to their current and future needs. The Adaptive Radio Modules provide a dedicated third radio that can be field upgraded on the 3600 Access Point.
This week, we continue with our coverage of XChange 2012, where UBM Channel presented the Annual Report Card Awards. While on site at the event in Texas, we had a chance to talk about cloud with our partners as well as trends they’re seeing.
In this video, we chat it up with Cisco partners Ed Greenberg of Alliant Technologies, Mont Phelps of NWN, David Powell of TekLinks, and Peter Valters of Empowered Networks. Watch as they share their thoughts about the rush to the cloud—including the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
Last week in Dallas I had the opportunity to attend “XChange 2012” an event that brings together a number of industry experts and solutions providers for a dialog around the changes happening in the industry and a great opportunity to network.
Each year at this event UBM Channel presents the ARC Awards, short for Annual Report Card, which gives partners the opportunity to rate their vendors in a number of categories.
I’m proud to say that Cisco took home 16 ARC Awards capped off by five overall awards including Enterprise Networking Infrastructure, Network Security Appliance and SMB Networking Hardware. We won the overall in Unified Communications for the ninth consecutive year and finally, took home the top prize for Midrange Servers, beating IBM and HP in our first year competing in this category.
Not only is this the first time in Cisco’s history we’ve won all of the categories we entered, Cisco is the only vendor to have won this many categories at the event. These awards are thanks to you, our partners, and I had a chance to talk to some of the partners who attended the event. Here’s what they had to say.
