How to Monitor Twitter Old School, Without a Tool

Twitter has been cracking down on third party apps as of late for violating their Terms of Service. This has resulted in suspension of those services. While Twitter applications certainly make all of our lives a little easier, we can live without them, at least for a little bit.

While we can’t easily check out the specifics of our followers or schedule tweets without our precious apps, we can still monitor the conversation. The old school way. Below is a list of search operators provided by Twitter that will help you keep tabs on the conversation while your apps may be in the time out chair or just unavailable in general. Learn the basics of search and cut through the noise of Twitter under any circumstance.

Strong appetite for social media marketing and food trucks

 The food truck industry has grown quite significantly as chefs and entrepreneurs look for new ways to reach customers without heavy capital investments.  With television shows like Food Network’s Great Food Truck Race, and streamlined permitting processes in many cities,  mobile food retailing has been popping up all over the San Francisco area where I live.

The Week in Review: Cisco Partner Summit 2011

There was no shortage of entertainment and music at Cisco’s 15th Partner Summit last week, with New Orleans’ finest bands and musicians playing for live and virtual audiences.

The action-packed event featured big news for partners, keynotes from Cisco’s top executives, breakout speakers, magicians, theater sessions, parties, a live auction, and generous donations from partners and Cisco are helping to rebuild homes and lives in New Orleans.

Partner Summit 2011: News, Highlights, and Tweets

It was another great day at Partner Summit 2011 on the bayou, where the music is fantastic, the beignets are amazing, and the Partner Summit news is awesome!

At Wednesday’s general session, the focus was on how to impact innovation with Michael Capellas, CEO of VCE, and Padmasree Warrior, Cisco’s CTO. Both highlighted Cisco technologies to help partners to differentiate.
