Global Certification Team at RSA 2012

The Global Certification Team is proud to have a presence at RSA 2012 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco!

We will be taking part in several talks and presentations, including the following:

  • The CC Forum Interim Steering Committee -- This time will be used for both the Terms of Reference working group and the Governance working group.
  • Open Group Trusted Technology Forum (O-TTF).   The O-TTF is developing a set of best practice requirements and recommendations for Supply Chain Security, that when practically applied, create a business benefit in terms of reduced risk of acquiring tainted or counterfeit products for the technology acquirer.
  • “Lock it down or Free it Up” -- Special keynote address by Christopher Young, Senior Vice President, Security and Government Group, Cisco -- Wednesday February 29, 3:10 p.m.

Cisco at RSA 2012: Putting Things In Context

It’s that time of year again. The annual RSA security show brings together all the major security vendors under one roof for a week of training, announcements, and vendors hawking their latest wares. This year we can expect the usual cadre of legacy security vendors with their stand-alone, siloed products pretending that they now support clouds and mobile workers and BYOD. Booth babes, jugglers, magicians, and flashy giveaways will fill the exhibit halls while vendors play shell games with the security of customers, all adding a cacophony of noise to an already confusing situation.

Amidst all the hoopla and fanfare, however, Cisco Systems, the largest security vendor in the world, will be there with perhaps the only reasonable strategy for securing the networks organizations are creating today.

Simplifying Compliance – Education and Solution on PCI Data Security 2.0 from Cisco

For retailers and merchants, January 1st, 2012 is the deadline after which all audits for PCI compliance need to be at the Data Security Standards 2.0.  At Cisco we have invested  in education content as well as architecture designs for PCI 2.0  to help retailers address compliance and secure credit card data.
