Off the Top

Earlier this week, Richard McLeod took a look at the collaboration offers from Partner Summit 2015. He provided everything you need to know about the latest and greatest promotions from the collaboration team. I encourage you to read his blog and let us know what you think!

Introducing Cisco Refresh

Reset Your Sales Focus to Gain the Biggest Returns

Long time guest blogger Karin Surber brought her expertise back to the Partner Blog this week as well. In her ongoing series on success in sales organizations, she took a look at how to re-energize your sales team and keep them on top of the latest trends.

Rewarding Partner Summit 2015 Delivers New Collaboration Offers and More

Every year an incredible amount of preparation goes into my presentation and one-on-ones for Partner Summit. We had 11 or so Spark rooms of various teams coming together to make decisions about demos, graphic design, scripting, statistics, offers, and so on. Lots of hard work (made easier with Spark), but all that effort culminates in a few days that are both rewarding and inspiring. First, we got to hang out with more than 2200 of you in the lovely city of Montreal (while 6000 others tuned in virtually) and hear some great talks from our top leaders.

The second reward I got from all the weeks leading up to Summit where my team was heads down doing research and crunching numbers was gaining a buttoned-up set of facts that support the message I wanted you to walk away with – that disruption creates an opportunity to thrive. The partner trends we uncovered are compelling.

I want to make sure you have those facts and figures at your fingertips. We’ve created a Cisco Worldwide Partner Summit 2015 Collaboration Offers and Announcements page where you can find all the details on our new partner announcements and offers as well as the presentations. I think you’ll find the offers very rewarding, and if you didn’t get a chance to hear Rowan announce them on main stage and in the breakout session, you can find the recordings on the Cisco Virtual Partner Summit site.

Let’s also do a quick recap here of the three big areas you can focus on to seize that window of opportunity we talked about: Read More »

Cisco Partner Weekly Rewind – March 20, 2015

Partner-Weekly-Rewind-v2Each week, we’ll highlight the most important Cisco Partner Ecosystem news and stories, as well as point you to important, Cisco-related partner content you may have missed along the way. Here’s what you might have missed this week:

Off the Top

There was big news from the Collaboration Team this week and Richard McLeod gave Cisco Partners an update on the launch of Cisco Spark.

As Richard said, this is much more than the launch of a new app from the Collaboration Team. It’s about the modernization of business from traditional models to new, agile models.

Be sure to read Richard’s blog and join the conversation on Cisco Spark.

CRN Channel Madness

CRN is holding its own March tournament this year. Thirty-two channel chiefs enter, but only one will remain standing at the end. Cisco has two of its own in this year’s tournament. Check out the head-to-head matchups and give Bruce Klein and Edison Peres some support!

Only one channel chief can win the tournament, but one thing’s for sure, it’s going to be fun! Read More »

Join the Revolution – Change Your Daily Routine

Today’s announcement of Cisco Spark is about much more than a new app for team collaboration. It is about the modernization of businesses from traditional organizations to next-generation or agile enterprises. Rowan compares this change in the way people work to the beginning of a revolution. I think it’s important for us to realize the magnitude of the opportunity ahead of us. Only collaboration technology can truly change the way people communicate and empower them to work better together. Cisco’s portfolio is stronger than ever – and we will continue to innovate and simplify with new products like Cisco Spark, the MX800 Dual, Context Service for contact centers, and our new video software. Combine that portfolio with the strength of the Cisco channel, and we have the ability to help our customers transform into the next-generation, agile enterprises they want—and need—to become.

This is some pretty big talk – galvanizing a revolution – to capture a $60 billion market. It’s certainly going to require change, but we can do it together if we start now.

I ran across this quote by leadership author John Maxwell the other day on Facebook, and I think it offers a good way for us to think about this big transformation: “You’ll never change your life until you change something you do daily. The secret of your success is found in your daily routine.” I like this quote because it puts change into the perspective of the ordinary, of your “daily routine.” That seems more manageable than a revolution. Cisco Partner Weekly Rewind – February 20, 2015

Partner-Weekly-Rewind-v2Each week, we’ll highlight the most important Cisco Partner Ecosystem news and stories, as well as point you to important, Cisco-related partner content you may have missed along the way. Here’s what you might have missed this week:

Off the Top

It was quite a busy week on the Partner Blog. Hopefully you had a chance to read Sherri Liebo’s blog on how digital marketing has transformed the traditional marketing landscape. If not, be sure to check it out and take a look back at her super heroes posts from 2014 and how those particular marketing team members can lead the way as digital marketing continues to shift how we all work.

As we are getting ever closer to this year’s Marketing Velocity event, this blog is a nice look at how all our marketing efforts tie together and what “digital” is doing to all of us.

Intelligent Cybersecurity

Raja Sundaram had some insight into cybersecurity and how it affects your customers. He looked at changing business models, dynamic threats, and complexity and fragmentation. Branching out from there he pointed out how Cisco is offering up the products you need for your customers to tackle these tough security situations. It’s a great overview on security. Read More »
