With Partner Velocity, Partner Summit, and Cisco Live under our belts, we’re sad to say “goodbye” to this year’s conference season.
It was tons of fun getting to meet so many partners in person during the events, and the Cisco Channels team is looking forward to seeing all of you again next year.
But before we do, we wanted to share a full recap from Cisco Live! 2012, starting with our favorite photos.
No, you’re not having a déjà vu moment. The San Diego Convention Center was a popular spot for events this year.
17,000 in-person attendees! And almost half were first-time attendees.

Once in awhile, an idea comes along that changes everything.
Well, this isn’t one of those ideas. But after 25 episodes of Partner Update, perseverance has to count for something.
The goal of Partner Update was simple: create a short, five-minute newscast that would get partners up to speed on the latest Cisco headlines. While our first go at it was nearly unwatchable, the newscast has grown and evolved and now features a varied medley of news, partner interviews, highlights, and updates.
Of course, Partner Update isn’t just for our partners, it’s about our partners. During our 25 episode stint, we’ve highlighted dozens of extraordinary Cisco partner achievements, from new data centers, to social media campaigns, to cool gadgets and products. We’ve even featured your tweets, videos, and Facebook posts.
Here’s a short trip down Partner Update memory lane featuring partner interviews, bloopers, highlights, and behind-the-scenes footage.

Cisco Live 2011 ended with sounds of side-splitting laughter during the closing keynote on Thursday. Cisco SVP Carlos Dominguez sat down for an intimate chat (or as intimate as it could be with 15,000 onsite attendees watching) with Star Trek’s Captain Kirk, otherwise known as actor William Shatner.
Over the hour, Shatner shared his accomplishments, current projects, and thoughts on reinvention, creativity, change, and collaboration – driving themes that we also see here at Cisco. He also answered questions from Cisco Live 2011 attendees. (In response to one attendee’s question, he said yes, it is true that he cannot do the Vulcan salute.)
Want a peek into all (well, almost all) that went on this past week in Vegas? Here’s our video recap.
And keep reading for some of our favorite quotes from Shatner’s closing keynote, along with our favorite tweets, blogs of note, news announcements, and more from the past week. Read More »
