Yesterday I had the chance to host a live broadcast with social media guru Brian Solis—our first Partner Velocity Virtual Engagement. In our hour-long session, Engage: How to Build, Cultivate, and Measure Success in the New Web, Brian discussed the importance of building engagement with both current and potential customers through new social media tools.
Here’s a replay of our broadcast in case you missed it.
Want to learn the tips that Brian shared? Here’s a recap of our broadcast. Read More »
According to the report, an improved credit environment has played a part. And guess what? Here at Cisco, we’re doing our part to make it easier for partners to get fast access to credit decisions. Cisco Capital is opening its doors to small business with competitive financing in the US, Canadian, and European markets.
With straightforward, flexible leasing options, competitive rates, and fast credit processing, Cisco Capital can help any business acquire the solutions it needs to be successful. I got the chance to chat with Kristine Snow, President of Cisco Capital. She filled me in on what exactly Cisco Capital is doing to expand small business financing.

While there are certainly plenty ways for each of us as individuals to try and live a more green lifestyle in the hopes of turning the tide of global warming—whether driving less, or composting our trash—here at Cisco we have the Connected Grid portfolio of Smart Grid communications solutions, which can help utilities more reliably and efficiently deliver electric power from generation facilities to businesses and homes, resulting in better energy management, while also providing economic and environmental benefits.
With new ways to amp up your marketing, innovative ways to use social media, ways to market the cloud, and outside-the-box thinking, the fourth annual Partner Velocity event kicked off yesterday in Barcelona, Spain.
So far, attendees have heard from speakers about a variety of topics, including: How to “thinque funky,” differentiation, using mobile for marketing, cloud, and personal tips on growing professionally and balancing home/work life. We’ll have interviews with speakers and session recaps over the next few days. I got the chance to visit with a few partners to find out what they’re eager to learn about at this year’s event.
With only one full day of the event under our belt, we’ve already learned a ton. Read on to find out what we’ve heard about so far.
