Heading into Cisco Marketing Velocity and Partner Summit in Montreal at the end of the month, we have been bringing you plenty of event information. Today’s entry is not about logistic information though. It is about Cisco’s partners, and how several of them are assisting us in a big way this year as partner social ambassadors for Marketing Velocity and Partner Summit.
This marks the fourth year of the Cisco Partner Ambassador program. It provides partners with the opportunity to share their thoughts and impressions about the news they hear about during Cisco Partner Summit. As we continue to evolve the Partner Ambassador program, we are working hard to shape the mix of global resellers, distributors, and Independent Software Vendors (ISV) to more closely represent the participants at Partner Summit. Just like last year, we even have some partner ambassadors who won’t be onsite in Montreal, but will be joining us via Virtual Partner Summit (VPS).
Our partner ambassadors will be blogging and tweeting before, during, and after Marketing Velocity and Partner Summit. In fact, we have a few ambassadors this year who will be covering Marketing Velocity specifically, as well as continuing on to give you their thoughts on Partner Summit as well.

We will soon be gathering in Montreal for Cisco Partner Summit 2015. In fact, it’s only a little more than two weeks out at this point. It’s hard to believe it’s been more than a year since we met in Las Vegas last year where we introduced the Cisco Partner Ecosystem.
So much has happened since I last had the opportunity to meet with all our partners at our annual event. As I mentioned back in the fall, we’ve made such a great deal of progress since introducing the Cisco Partner Ecosystem last year. I’ve done my best to keep you up-to-date on our progress throughout the past year and I can’t wait to meet with you again in Montreal to continue the conversation.
I promised you we would continue to cultivate the Cisco Partner Ecosystem in order to benefit you and we are certainly still focused on that approach. We continue to broaden the Cisco Partner Ecosystem, enhance partner enablement and continually look for new growth areas.
I know we have come a long way since last March, but there is so much more to do. I’m proud of what we have accomplished and I’m thrilled that our work is getting attention outside of our partner community as well. In fact, Zeus Kerravala, founder and principal analyst at ZK Research posted just yesterday on Network World his opinion on “How Cisco keeps channel partners out in front of market trends.”
I urge you to read Zeus’ blog. It’s a good look at an opinion outside of our Cisco walls on what has kept our partners happy. Zeus points to innovation in technology and our partner programs. Cisco Marketing Velocity and Partner Summit are coming up soon, and if you aren’t attending the live event in Montreal, there’s still time to register for Cisco Virtual Partner Summit (VPS).
