December 13, 2013 at 8:34 am PST

Partner-Weekly-Rewind-v2Each week, we’ll highlight the most important Cisco partner news and stories, as well as point you to important, Cisco-related partner content you may have missed along the way. Here’s what you might have missed this week:

Wow, winter seems to have taken hold early this year. Here in North Carolina, we are certainly seeing colder temperatures than normal this time of year. My dogs certainly seem to appreciate a warm spot on the couch more these past few days.

Even though temps are dropping outside, we are, of course, keeping the fires going here at Cisco. Even as we are heading toward the holiday season where we will all enjoy some time with friends and family, we still have a lot going on for partners. Here’s a little recap of the week!

Off the Top

As part of our Partner Voices series, we like to highlight the successes of our partners using Cisco products and services to solve customer issues. This week, we had the opportunity to speak with MCPc about a recent airport project they completed. Read More »

Partner Voices: Removing Risk, Lowering Cost – The MCPc & Cisco Partnership

December 11, 2013 at 7:28 am PST

As part of our ongoing Partner Voices blog series, we had the opportunity to hear from MCPc. During the past 11 years, MCPc has bet long on Cisco, using networking, switching, telepresence, and digital media tools within its own business and in the outstanding help for the business of its clients.

For example, since the beginning of 2013, MCPc has used Cisco Telepresence internally for more than 4,320 hours of cumulative communication. That is more than 180 full days of time. Most MCPc associates have Jabber on their mobile devices, and their local media is paying attention to the ways in which MCPc has implemented Cisco throughout the company. But MCPc does more than just make its own travel schedule easier for employees – it has enabled clients to take advantage of Cisco’s full breadth of offerings. Read More »

Indiana’s Largest K-12 Education Institution Adopts Virtualization to Get Kids’ Attention

December 3, 2012 at 9:42 am PST

Have you visited your local high school or middle school lately? If so, it wouldn’t surprise you to know that students spend considerable time focusing on recreational media unrelated to their coursework. Everything from Facebook and Pandora to Netflix and Twitter.

This presents a particular challenge for teachers who must compete for students’ dwindling attention. However, there is an answer. Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS), for example, adopted virtualization as their gateway for delivering quality education.

This means it doesn’t matter where kids are located, what their educational needs are, or even what device they use to access technology. It also means that IPS, the state of Indiana’s largest K-12 education institution, is meeting kids where they “live.”

To enable this anywhere, anytime approach, IPS turned to several Cisco partners, including Cisco Premier Partner Bell Techlogix, Cisco Gold Partner MCPc, and Cisco Gold Partner and Master Unified Communications Specialized Partner Netech. They also worked directly with Cisco to help build their network of the future.  Read More »

Cisco Partner MCPc Shares ‘Five Key Pillars’ for Creating the Anyplace Workspace

August 30, 2012 at 8:18 am PST

Are customers breaking down your door for mobile solutions? If not, they will be—and soon.

Here’s why. Three out of five workers say they don’t need to be in the office to be productive. And they aren’t taking “no” for an answer. The result: employees are working at home, in cafes, on trains—you name it, they’re out there with their tablets, smartphones, and other mobile devices.

Just ask Cisco Gold Partner MCPc. They’re meeting the needs of today’s increasingly mobile workforce. And they’re making their clients happy in the process—even if many of their clients’ employees haven’t been seen at the office in days.

But, seriously, what’s behind the company’s success? MCPc calls it the MCPc anyplace workspace™. It’s their own ‘playlist’ of partners, technology, and expertise—all perfectly orchestrated to enable secure, mobile collaboration.

Recently, I caught up with Darin Haines, MCPc’s CTO, to talk with him about his company’s strategy, which is working by the way to the tune of 43 and 57 percent growth, respectively, in products and services in FY12.   Read More »
