Recap of Cisco at National Retail Federation 2012

Thank you to everyone who visited the Cisco NRF booth last month.  We had a huge of amount traffic and a number of exciting demonstrations plus the announcement of our "Catch Em and Keep Em" consumer research study.  We also shot a number of videos from the show floor which I hope you all enjoy.

We announced the new Catch Em and Keep Em consumer research on how retailers can attract and retain channel hopping shoppers.  The research is now avialable for download here

Hi again,
Last post I said I'd get back to you to give you, at least, my opinion of why Citrix and Cisco are partnering up.  As you might have seen from the dateline above, it's easy to find out when you get to Citrix Summit and Synergy.  It has to do with the global and ubiquitous Cisco networks deployed by organizations everywhere.  Citrix is doing great with XenApp (last I heard, well over 50,000,000 licenses) and is poised to do even better with XenDesktop.

ISR Gen2 Routers Earn Multiple Government Security Certifications

Cisco was recently awarded three separate government cryptographic validations in network routing for 12 of its newest Cisco Integrated Services Routers Generation 2 (ISR G2) by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), pursuant to U.S. Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 140-2.

The new platforms are architected to enable the next phase of branch-office evolution, providing rich mediacollaboration and virtualization to the branch while maximizing operational cost savings.
