Now this is really cool. Have you been wondering why the social media activity for Cisco Live UK has been so quick, responsive, and high-quality? Well, today we’re going to show you why. Peter was invited to step inside the Cisco Social Media Studio at Cisco Live UK, which is the social media nerve center for the event. It is here where they are creating “one of the most customer-aware events in the world.”
We kick off the new year with our SuperFans of the Year and a new photo-sharing program!
It’s been over a year since we launched the SuperFan program on the Cisco Corporate Facebook page and with much success – from the level of submissions and engagement from our fans, to the recognition and coverage on various social media blog outlets. To kick off the New Year, we are bestowing the inaugural Cisco SuperFan of the Year award to Dimitar Krstevski and Sandee Weiner! They were chosen based on their level of engagement with the Cisco Facebook page and votes from the community. Big congrats and thank you!
Given the success of the SuperFan program, we are offering our fans another way to engage with us with the launch of our new photo sharing program titled, “Where in the World Do You Take Cisco?” We want to spotlight our fans and their experiences with Cisco products, technologies and the brand. Submit YOUR photos that capture everywhere and anywhere you take Cisco! Along with your photo, we also ask that you include a written description in 100 words or less that helps narrate the story behind your photo or image. Need help uploading your photos? Take a look at the Flickr Group FAQ page.
The program launches TODAY so start submitting your photos! For more information on “Where in the World Do You Take Cisco?” check out the program guidelines as well as the terms and conditions. You can also check out all of the submitted photos on our Cisco Facebook Flickr Tab. Looking forward to seeing your photos!!
Cisco employees from all around the globe gathered to celebrate the latest phase of our Human Network Campaign, “Together, we are the human network.” To kick off this exciting new campaign we held a global internal event where we challenged offices across the globe to form one letter from the word, “together”. The purpose was to have employees experience, first hand, the power of being together. Increasingly, through video, we can become closer than ever to feeling like we are truly together.
Employees accepted the challenge and began coordinating this effort. Did I mention that the word “together” was to be created in cursive? Many emails and a couple weeks later, the footage was complete..Internationally, we proved that through uncooperative weather and a pressing deadline, we managed to accomplish the task!
Look at the photo below to guess which Cisco offices formed each letter!
The human network becomes exponentially more powerful and more human with video. Networked video solutions at home, at work and everywhere we go help us to be more engaged with one another. The human network isn’t just connected anymore, now we are involved, more authentic and more genuine through all the capabilities that video provides.
This global endeavor was a collaborative effort, quickly executed on a shoe string budget. Across the globe, teams creatively managed to not only replicate the letters but to also bring in employees from all facets of Cisco.
