We are getting really, really close to Cisco Partner Summit 2014. I have not started packing yet, but I will start planning that out soon. Oh never mind, who am I kidding? I am the world’s worst procrastinator when it comes to packing. I’ll probably still be stuffing things into my bag on the way to the airport.

Heading into Partner Summit in Las Vegas at the end of the month, we have been bringing you waves of news related to this year’s event. Well it’s time we made the conversation less about Cisco and more about Cisco’s partners.
This marks the third year of the Cisco Partner Ambassador program. It provides partners with the opportunity to share their thoughts and impressions about the news they hear about during Cisco Partner Summit. As we continue to evolve the Partner Ambassador program, we are working hard to shape the mix of global resellers, distributors, and Independent Software Vendors (ISV) to more closely represent the participants at Partner Summit. Just like last year, we even have some partner ambassadors who won’t be onsite in Las Vegas, but will be joining us via Virtual Partner Summit (VPS).
Our partner ambassadors will be blogging and tweeting before, during, and after Partner Summit. As always, we’re excited to hear their perspectives and look forward to sharing their content with you. In our ongoing Partner Voices blog series, we always look for interesting solutions provided by our partners using Cisco technology or services. As such, I am lucky enough to have the opportunity to speak with many Cisco Partners about some of the more interesting solutions they have provided for clients. You’ve often heard me say that Cisco partners need to continue to evolve their businesses to stay competitive and be successful. As the trend for delivering technology as a service continues, now more than ever partners must evolve their business to support the demand for new consumption models, like cloud and managed services. Along with the availability of the new master specialization, Cisco is launching the Cisco Cloud Partner Marketplace. Created based on your feedback, this tool gives partners a place to market and promote their Cisco cloud-based solutions and services.
