Cisco Partner Weekly Rewind – July 10, 2015

Partner-Weekly-Rewind-v2

Each week, we’ll highlight the most important Cisco Partner Ecosystem news and stories, as well as point you to important, Cisco-related partner content you may have missed along the way. Here’s what you might have missed this week:

Off the Top

By now I’m sure you’ve seen the news that Bruce Klein is leaving Cisco and his role as senior vice president of the Worldwide Partner Organization, and we are welcoming Wendy Bahr into the role, effective July 27. I hope you’ll join me in congratulating Wendy and thanking Bruce for his tremendous leadership during the past three years. We wish him all the best in his next adventure!

I have had the pleasure of working with both of these leaders here at Cisco, and while I’m certainly sad to see Bruce leave, I know Wendy will be a great leader for Cisco’s Partner Organization. She backed that up in an exclusive Q&A with CRN this week.  If you want a glimpse at what’s at the top of Wendy’s mind as she takes over the Cisco Worldwide Partner Organization, be sure to read the CRN interview.

Boost your video sales with Cisco’s summer incentives

The show must go on of course, and Richard McLeod had a great blog earlier this week about how partners can boost sales with several incentives available to them right now. Richard touched on VIP, TMP and the Not for Resale program, and he pointed out specifically where video ties into those programs. Want some tips on maximizing your video sales for the next few weeks? Check out Richard’s blog. Read More »

I have had a great time in San Diego this week for Cisco Live US. I kicked off this week with a look at the Solution Partner Forum from Sunday. I also pointed out a dew of the things to look for throughout the week. I hope that helped you plan your week here in San Diego or at least follow along more easily from afar.

On Tuesday, Al Jacobellis gave you some insight on just how the security announcement this week affects Cisco Partners. If you did not yet read Al’s blog, be sure to check it out. He does a great job of showing you how our partner incentive programs can help you take advantage in the marketplace.

Edison Peres also had a great post this week on how application developers are completing the Intercloud puzzle here at Cisco. Let us know what you think of Edison’s blog, and join us in welcoming the new partners to Cisco Intercloud.

Finally, Rick Snyder wrapped up Cisco Live with his thoughts on the show and a look at how the Cisco Partner Ecosystem supports these Cisco events.

While I am happy to be home today, I already miss the energy and excitement from Cisco Live. It’s great to meet so many customers and partners who are putting our business outcomes in place every day. Read More »

CRN Announces 2015 Women of the Channel

As we head into summer, I hope all of you are planning some time off to spend with friends and family. Before you head out, I would like to take just a tiny bit of your time to let you know some fantastic news.

CRN announces its Women of the Channel each year and Cisco often has several folks recognized. This year is no different, as we have 11 honorees from Cisco in 2015.

I am extremely honored to be recognized as one of the Women of the Channel this year. As always though, I really wanted to post today in order to make sure you were all aware of my 10 colleagues who were named this year! That is truly an incredible number of women from Cisco honored by CRN and I want to be sure that each of them gets some attention for all that they’ve accomplished this year.

Of course, I also want our partners to know that none of us at Cisco get recognized for these award lists without you. Cisco partners are truly what powers Cisco executives to honors such as these.

Now without further fanfare, please join me in congratulating the 2015 Women of the Channel at Cisco: Read More »
