Congratulations: Wendy Bahr Named a 2015 CRN Channel Chief

As you saw in Bruce Klein’s blog yesterday, we have been honored at Cisco by having six of our executives named as Channel Chiefs for 2015. This is an honor indeed, and it affords me the opportunity to give you a little better look at those executives.

We don’t always take the time to get to know each other, and I wanted to take some time this week to give you a look at the people behind these titles. Some of you probably know each of the six executives named as Channel Chiefs yesterday, but for those of you that don’t, here’s some brief information about them that might give you a better feel for just what they’re each passionate about.

CRN Announces 2015 Channel Chiefs

If you remember my blog from about this time last year, CRN announces its list of Channel Chiefs, and it’s quite an honor to be named to the list. According to CRN, the people named to their Channel Chiefs’ list head up the partner programs that we all depend on, and they do it with professionalism year in and year out.

I am again extremely honored to be one of the named Channel Chiefs this year. As always though, I really wanted to post today in order to make sure you were all aware of my five colleagues who were named this year. I can’t tell you how excited we are at Cisco to have six of our executives recognized by CRN, two years in a row.

I also wanted our partners to know that our executives don’t get recognized in this way without you. We have only put ourselves into a position where our executives win recognition because of the countless hours of work you have put in, and the incredible feedback you have provided us. Hearing from you about how Cisco is doing is the lifeblood that keeps our partner programs fresh and effective, so keep it coming.

Oh and one last thing, CRN also recognized us as one of the top 100 coolest cloud vendors and included us on the CRN Data Center 100 list for 2015 in the Infrastructure Providers Category. Pretty great news in a space where many people said we were out of our depth!

Now without further fanfare, please join me in congratulating the CRN Channel Chiefs at Cisco this year: Read More »

Off the Top

As you probably saw at the beginning of the week, Cisco made a big announcement around all of the momentum we’ve seen so far on our approach to cloud. Edison Peres even came by the Partner Blog to share his insight on how partners can engage and explain the roles you can play to meet customers’ needs.

Just in case you missed it, be sure to read Edison’s blog and let us know what you think. Our approach continues to be partner-centric, and with Intercloud, you have more opportunities than ever with Cisco.

CRN – 100 People You Don’t Know but Should

In CRN’s annual look at individuals building channel programs, designing special incentives, educating solution providers and evangelizing hot technologies, Cisco had three of our very own featured! Please join us in congratulating Steve Benvenuto, Sr. Director, Business Development, Cisco Channel Partner Programs; Faisal Hanafi, Vice President of Strategy and Partner Experience; and Susie Wee, Vice President and Chief Technical Officer of Networked Experiences.

CRN itself says this list recognizes the unseen channel professionals from vendor organizations who consistently drive success for Solution Providers. Cisco Partner Weekly Rewind – August 15, 2014

Partner-Weekly-Rewind-v2Each week, we’ll highlight the most important Cisco partner news and stories, as well as point you to important, Cisco-related partner content you may have missed along the way. Here’s what you might have missed this week:

Off the Top

Arjun Lahiri was here this week to talk about Cisco compatible solutions. Arjun had some great insight on how all is being connected via the Internet of Everything (IoE) and how the need for business applications is increasing exponentially.

With the rising need for business applications, Cisco simply cannot produce all of the necessary applications on its own. That is where Cisco compatible solutions come into play.

Read what Arjun has to say about Cisco compatible solutions filling in those gaps. Be sure to let him know what you think!

Partner Voices

I have mentioned several times how much I love working on the Partner Voices series. We focus on a lot of the cool solutions that our partners are putting into the marketplace, and it always makes for a more fun story.

In my post from this week, I talked to David Powell of TekLinks about their latest cloud-delivered electronic health record solution. Be sure to give it a read and give me your feedback in the comments section. Read More »
