VMworld 2011 – Soni Jiandani Sums Up Cisco Innovations

Before going on to an interview on SiliconAngle.tv and speaking at a Super Session on “How Cisco and VMware Collaborate to Build the Cloud”, Soni Jiandani gave me a couple of minutes to sum up the Cisco innovations announced and on display at VMworld 2011.

@ciscoDC – Preparing for VMworld 2011 – Carb Loading

Thanks for all the cards, letters, tweets and Facebook updates you sent us about “your freaked out Social Media lead” yesterday. We’re happy to report that everything is ok. In typical Cisco fashion, we regrouped, got innovative and came up with some unique ways to deliver all the knowledge, expertise and fun that we plan to have at VMworld 2011. And surprisingly, we were able to make this video just a mere 24 hours later….

So everything’s done. The experts are ready to answer your questions. All the events are planned and ready to get started on Sunday. We hope to see all of your out there in the Cisco Booth (#700).

To keep up with everything Cisco @ VMworld 2011, we recommend you follow @ciscoDC and #ciscovmw.

@ciscoDC – Social Media all over VMworld 2011

I’m excited to be part of the group of dedicated bloggers, vloggers, and tweeters from the Cisco Data Center marketing team at my first VMworld ever. We’ll also be covering some of the tweetups and events that our team is running during the show:

@ciscoDC – Preparing for VMworld 2011 – Calling Dr.Tweeter

On Monday we showed you the preparation. On Tuesday we showed you the execution model. We thought things were under control, but when you have so much going on at a huge event, sometimes the pressure starts to take it’s toll. Luckily we have great teamwork within the Cisco Data Center team and we were able to spot the signs early.

@ciscoDC – Preparing for VMworld 2011 – The Gameplan

Yesterday, we went behind the scenes and introduced you to our preparation for VMworld 2011. But preparation only is only a hope for great execution. Great execution requires a gameplan that can address every possible scenario, emphasizes strengths and attempts to minimize any weaknesses.

In today’s behind-the-scenes preparation for VMworld, we look at “The Gameplan” to bring the best of knowledge, learning and fun to the Cisco booth (#700) at the show.
