Whether Christmas, a birthday or just getting together with your family, life is made up of special moments that you spend with family and friends.
Cisco ūmi makes it easy to capture the simple joys of being together with distant family and friends. Cisco’s Senior Vice President of Cisco’s Emerging Technologies Group says “From singing happy birthday every year to reading bedtime stories every night, ūmi lets friends and families experience life’s special moments together.”
Cisco ūmi made its appearance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show” last month when Oprah and her best friend Gayle reconnected with people they met on a camping trip to Yosemite National Park. Most recently, Oprah hosted a book discussion with author Jonathan Franzen, audience members, online fans and yes, even Cisco ūmi users.
After the release of Jonathan’s new novel about the trials and tribulations of an American family, titled Freedom, the book soon became an Oprah’s Book Club 2010 Selection. Jonathan was invited to take the stage with Oprah and open up about his latest body of work. He answered questions ranging from very easy to downright strange, from readers in the audience and online. But the discussion got really interesting when Oprah used Cisco ūmi to introduce the Gower Street Book Club from Tacoma Washington. This group of 10 men fit perfectly on screen! Skip to 19:35 in the segment to see a unique camera angle, crystal clear close-up and facial expressions of the Gower Street Book Club!
The Cisco ūmi “Get Together” tour van welcomed families and friends to come aboard and experience the new way to be together after they had a glimpse of Claus!
We have been sharing our stache photos throughout the month of November to share our team’s progress on Facebook and Twitter. We started with five participants…..and then there were 3…..
Now, it’s your turn to VOTE for your favorite Movember stache!
We recently gave you a sneak peek of our UNSCRIPTED Cisco ūmi advertising campaign featuring Ellen Page, the star of “Juno” and “Inception,” and her friends using ūmi in their everyday lives.
Now, it’s my turn to share with you MY life UNSCRIPTED!
Over the past Thanksgiving holiday, my wife Suzanne’s parents were out visiting from Ohio. Since they were spending Thanksgiving with us, they weren’t able to see Suzanne’s sister and her two sons so we used ūmi to stay in touch over the weekend.
My ultimate favorite feature of Cisco ūmi is recording video messages. I can easily record teaching my 3 year old daughter, Ava, how to give a high five (which we are still working on) while holding one of my newborn twins, Noah, in my other hand. Using umi connect, I can then upload my videos directly to Facebook, YouTube, or Flipshare to share with my family and friends. Check us out here and beware I just woke up
