Virtual Tour of Cisco’s Virtual Partner Summit 2012

at 10:28 am PST

In less than three short weeks, Partner Summit 2012 begins and brings with it an entire host of news and program announcements, business transformation and technology sessions, and important updates from executives and geography leaders. Oh, and the prizes!  And did I mention it’s all for partners? Even those of you who can’t attend in person.

You heard right. All of the activity from the event in San Diego will come to you live via Virtual Partner Summit (VPS) on April 17-19, and participation is just a click away. All you have to do is register. It’s super easy and takes just a moment. Really.

For your effort, you’ll gain access to a dynamic, virtual community that lets you build your own agenda, join executive live chats, engage with fellow partner attendees, watch replays, and more. Did I mention the prizes?

This year’s event is focused on helping our partners maintain their competitive edge. And in today’s economic climate that’s more important than ever.

Nearly all of the sessions can be streamed live or viewed on demand via the Virtual Partner Summit environment. And the best part is that you don’t have to leave your workplace or home to hear the General Session keynote, which will be packed full of channel strategy and technology updates. Executives featured include:

  • John Chambers, Chairman and CEO
  • Keith Goodwin, SVP, Worldwide Partner Organization
  • Edison Peres, SVP, Worldwide Channels

But that’s just part of the experience. Want to chat live with individual executives, win prizes, and engage with attendees?

Virtual Partner Summit is an excellent opportunity for partners to come together and prepare for the opportunities that lie ahead.

Tuning in live to Virtual Partner Summit, you’ll get the chance to rub shoulders with Cisco executives. Well, virtual shoulder, that is. During our live Executive Chats from San Diego, virtual attendees—like you—can log into the individual chat sessions to listen in, plus ask questions in real time. You’ll have the opportunity to chat directly with:

  • John Chambers, Chairman and CEO
  • Padmasree Warrior, CTO, SVP Engineering & GM Enterprise Segment
  • Nick Earle, SVP, Worldwide Services Sales and Channels
  • Edison Peres, SVP, Worldwide Channels
  • Jim Sherriff, SVP, Americas Partner Organization
  • Amanda Jobbins, VP, Global Partner Marketing
  • Milo Schacher, VP, EMEAR Partner Organization

Of course, you’ll also learn more about the strategy and technology that enables partners to lead the way in solving business problems for our customers in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. And you’ll get the lowdown on how together we’re unmatched by the competition.

You can also dig deeper with on-demand business transformation sessions focused on go-to-market (GTM) strategies. Plus, learn about the motion of the business—from product and technologies to the partner business synergies created by solutions and architectures used to create customer business value.

It’s Prize Time!

But there’s more. Virtual Partner Summit includes some extra fun just for virtual attendees! When you participate in activities such as watching sessions, asking questions, and submitting feedback, you unlock “achievements” and earn points. Once you’ve earned 250 points, you’re eligible for a prize drawing for an iPad or an 8GB Powerstick. Also, by just submitting your event evaluation, you’re entered to win an Amazon Kindle or a Samsung HD digital camcorder. Now how cool is that?

Be sure to stay engaged throughout the event. You can write on the Social Wall, send tweets to the #ciscops12 hashtag, read blogs, and watch videos right from the virtual environment. We’ll be live tweeting throughout the event, so to keep up with the latest information and all things related to Partner Summit, follow the hashtag #ciscops12 on Twitter.
