While it’s clear not all routers have a sense of humor, the Cisco ASR 9000 seems to be the exception. Ever since its launch, it has positioned itself as the perfect gift for Valentine’s Day and Father’s Day. (I’ll note that on those occasions, even when I had the ASR9000 at the top of my wish list, I only received a Whitman’s Sampler and a neck tie, but no carrier class hardware. Come on, what’s a guy to do to get up to 6.4 Tbps around here?!)
We filmed this week’s Partner Update newscast from a special location that all too many people are familiar with: Cubicle Prison.
But don’t worry, we didn’t stay there for long. We broke free as soon as the new innovations for Borderless Networks were announced.
Watch how Andrew and I break free from Cubicle Prison to deliver your top news headlines in this week’s Partner Update newscast.

Partner Velocity has been keeping me busy! In the midst of attending sessions, interviewing speakers, capturing video clips, and catching a few quick bites, I managed to carve out some time to host my own session, “Leveraging the Power of Video with Live Streaming.” During my talk, which was also broadcast live over Ustream, I discussed and demonstrated how to setup your own live Ustream session from start to finish.
Didn’t get a chance to watch the broadcast? Here’s a replay:

After jumping on two planes, and lugging along all of my video equipment, I’ve made it to Barcelona, Spain, for Partner Velocity, which is taking place this week. This annual event brings together thought leaders from across the marketing world to talk and engage with our partners, helping them learn the latest marketing tips and tricks.
Today I had the chance to host a Ustream broadcast with Scott Klososky, the former CEO of three startups. Scott filled us in on cloud computing, one of the most disruptive technologies since the advent of the Internet. Scott will be hosting a session here at Partner Velocity titled “What Is the Cloud and Why Should I Care?” With that as the jumping point for our discussion, we had a far-ranging talk on why cloud is critical right now.
Here’s a replay of the broadcast:
