Thank you Tommy Tian (@tommytian) for the Tweet and the good news! He spotted the honor and tweeted the photo below! We are thrilled to have made the list and it’s a great way to wrap-up the year. If you don’t already have the free WebEx Mobile app, this page provides links to the different versions.
That’s right; it’s absolutely free and allows you to join meetings from your device as long as you can get to the Internet. You’ll need a WebEx account to host a mobile meeting, but you can get one for as low as $19.99/month.

The movie industry has the Oscars, the music industry the Grammys, but what about the IT industry? How do we recognize the top performers, the stars, and those behind the scenes making the magic happen? One could argue that CRN’s Top 100 is about as close to a channel award shows as you can get, minus the red carpet designer gowns and tearful acceptance speeches.
This year’s CRN awards are out and we’re happy to report that several Cisco executives were recognized on the Top 100 list:
- Rob Lloyd in the category of “Channel Advocates”
- Edison Peres in the category of “Channel Sales Leaders”
- Keith Goodwin in the category of “Channel Services Leaders”
- Chuck Robbins in the category of “Channel Strategists”
- John Chambers in the category of “Influential”
The awards were based on nominations from solution providers who rank executives based on a number of criteria: channel influence, effectiveness and visibility, as well as business and sales impact. CRN also factored in channel sales volume, channel investment and resources, channel advocacy and visibility, and performance in UBM Channel research projects with a panel of UBM Channel editors making the final ruling.
Thank you for voting for Cisco in these awards. We’re proud to see that a number of partners made it to the list as well and congratulate the winners.
Of course, what would an award be without an acceptance speech?

We’ve been pondering our collection of inclusion and diversity awards sitting in our San Jose office. Some are inspired and even practical, like the glass bowl with a plaque stating “fill with candy and share”. And then serendipitously, I came across an employee account from our recent participation at the NELI (National Eagle Leadership Institute) Awards that re-ignited the real stories behind the glass ornaments in our awards cabinet. And the winner is…the Cisco ASR 9000 Test Drive! B-to-B Magazine awarded Cisco the “Best Use of Viral Video in a Marketing Campaign.” But wait, there’s more. The Cisco ASR 9000 Test Drive is also one of three finalists for B-to-B Magazine’s “People’s Choice” Award. So, please see for yourself and VOTE for Cisco (we’re second on the list and you can watch the video below).
What matters most, however, is that customers have loved this demo. You can be told that the Cisco ASR 9000 has been architected and optimized to deliver non-stop video content. But until you see the difference for yourself, you may remain a skeptic. So, we took the saying “seeing is believing” to heart and enabled anyone to take the Cisco ASR 9000 on a test drive and see just how this aggregation router delivers video packets flawlessly. With a push of a button, you can control a robot to remove the route switch processor card from the Cisco ASR 9000 and watch as video is delivered uninterrupted.
