Cisco Integrated Services Routers (ISR) 881W/GW achieve FIPS 140-2 Certification!

The Global Certification Team (GCT) is thrilled to announce that the ISR 881W/881GW has completed the FIPS certification process.  The official listing has been posted to the NIST website, being awarded certificate #1700, as FIPS 140-2, Level 2 Certified.

The Cisco 881W and Cisco 881GW ISR’s provide connectivity and security services in a single, secure device. These routers offer broadband speeds and simplified management to small businesses, and enterprise small branch and teleworkers. The module is also a wireless access point that provide secure wireless access to clients.

Cisco Common Crypto Module is now FIPS certified!

The Global Certification Team is proud to announce the FIPS Certification of the Cisco Common Crypto Module (C3M).  The Official listing can be found on the NIST website at http://goo.gl/3vPaa.

The Cisco Common Cryptographic Module (C3M) is a software library that provides cryptographic services to a vast array of Cisco’s networking and collaboration products. The module provides FIPS validated cryptographic algorithms for services such as sRTP, SSH, TLS, 802.1x etc. The module does not implement any of the protocols directly. Instead, it provides the cryptographic primitives and functions to allow a developer to implement various protocols.
