  1. Morning, belated congratulations on setting up SP Mobility Community. Also, congratulations on Starent acquisition. Truly good move on Cisco’s part. I am sure it is a drop in the blue ocean as it relates to Lte/Lte-Advanced.Regarding WiMAX vs. LTE. It has been widely propagated by industry SMEs and technology gurus that it is not so much of a competition but rather a collaboration. One can learn from another (Lte from WiMAX in this case; and I am sure vice versa).

Thanks Basang for your comments and for being part of the SP Mobility Community.Cisco believes that mobile networks such as 4G networks, including those based on LTE and WiMAX, are moving to all IP architectures and applications. Both WiMAX and LTE have a role to play as the operators monetize their spectrum assets by delivering compelling end-user experience. Most of the radio technologies, LTE, WiMAX, HSPA, CDMA, etc., will coexist for many years to come.
