Hockey, bacon, and Neil Young – some of the best things in life do indeed come from Canada. (Actually I think those of the swine persuasion may disagree on the bacon.) Once again our neighbors to the north are leading the way with next-generation mobile broadband.
As announced yesterday, Shaw Communications will conduct a technical trial of HotSpot 2.0 using Cisco’s Service Provider Wi-Fi solution.
The next-generation of Wi-Fi technology, HotSpot 2.0 greatly enhances the mobile wireless experience as it provides customers with a seamless and automatic connection to the Wi-Fi network. In addition, HotSpot 2.0 includes encryption techniques to ensure customers’ data is protected.
We were pleased and proud to be named as Shaw’s Wi-Fi technology partner last month, and we’re even more proud to be helping Shaw take this exciting technology to market.
That’s all for now as I gotta run. I have an odd desire for a BLT.
