Mobile World Congress 2010: A Talk with Godfrey Chua, IDC – Cisco’s Mobile Internet Strategy

- February 16, 2010 - 0 Comments

I had an opportunity to sit down with IDC’s Godfrey Chua, Research Manager for Wireless and Mobile Infrastructure, about his thoughts regarding the recent introduction of the ASR 5000 and how he views the impact of the Starent acquisition on Cisco strategy going forward.

With IP-enabled Smartphones and other connected mobile devices gaining rapid acceptance, global mobile data traffic is expected to more than double every year through 2013, according to the Cisco Visual Networking Index. I am excited that Cisco Mobile Internet solutions will play an important role in enabling service providers to scale their mobile infrastructure and monetize their investments via differentiated experiences.
