It has been nearly 20 years since I last heard the static and ding-guh-donga-dong sounds of dialing up wireline internet, over 14 years since the first digital “2G”phones became available, about eight years since “3G” networks were widely deployed, and five years since 4G LTE rolled out in the U.S.

Following the trend of the past two decades, logic would propose thatwe are due for another major leap forward in networking and communications technology.  One place to learn about the latest advancements and developments in network technologies is at IEEE GLOBECOM 2014, December 8 – 12 in Austin, Texas.

GLOBECOM will feature more than 1,500 presentations—covering a range of the latest technological advancements in the Internet of Everything to network and internet economics to satellite to green technologies to mobile networks and more.  IEEE GLOBECOM’s theme this year is “The Great State of Communications”. The show starts on Monday, December 8th with two full days of tutorials and workshops scheduled for Monday, December 8th and Friday, December 12th.  Exhibits are scheduled to open Monday night and remain open through Thursday evening.  While at GLOBECOM, take a moment and visit us in Booth 17 to experience some of the capabilities of Cisco’s Evolved Services Platform.  Attend a few keynotes from the likes of Dr. Edward G. Amoroso, Chief Security Officer for AT&T to learn about cloud security or Pankaj Patel, Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer at Cisco and envision the future with the Internet of Everything.

We look forward to seeing you there!
