Besides this, participants will have access to the World of Solutions, an impressive trade-show area where more than 70 partners and technology providers will present their latest products and solutions. Alongside Cisco solutions which will be showcased at the Cisco Campus, attendees will have the opportunity to come to the Service Provider booth and explore more than 15 demonstrations on the technologies relevant to Service Providers.

Below is the list of demos that you can explore when you arrive at the SP booth. We want you to find demos to be relevant to your business; hence we broke down the list of demos below by three key areas that are of value to you: “Increase Revenue”, “Lower Costs” and “Increase Agility”.

  • Increase Revenue
    • Evolved Services Platform: Virtualization and Orchestration Strategy
    • Mobility IQ: Unlock Value with Visual Network Knowledge
    • Connected Analytics for Service Providers
    • Virtual Managed Services and Cloud VPN for Business
    • Cisco cBR-8: Evolved Converged Cable Access Platform
    • Cloud DVR and Video Entertainment Solutions
    • Monetization and Optimization Index
  • Lower Costs
    • Cisco ASR 9000 vDDoS Protection and Mitigation
    • Cisco EPN Manager
    • Network Services Orchestrator Enabled by Tail-f
    • High Density 100G Solutions for Core Networks
    • Agile Optical Converged Infrastructure
    • Cisco IOS XRv Virtual Router
  • Increase Agility
    • WAN Automation Engine
    • Application Engineered Routing
    • Virtualized Video Processing

I will highlight a few demos to give you a sneak preview of the SP demos. So what can you expect when you “get behind the driver’s seat” and take the tour of the SP booth?   It is the world of the open network! That is right. You will often hear terms like “OpenStack”, “OpenFlow”, “OpenDayLight”, and APIs. You will appreciate the power of the Evolved Programmable Network (EPN) built on latest innovations such as Cisco IOS XRv Router Virtualization, Cisco Application Engineered Routing (AER), and others. Specifically we will demonstrate an IOS XRv 9000 Router that implements the feature set of Cisco IOS XR Software. Now, service providers like you can enhance their operational excellence and offerings based on physical routers—and move them easily to a virtual form factor.

Another innovation—AER—emphasizes interaction of application and network. Greater interaction between applications and network infrastructure helps you optimize your network infrastructure and offer new services that can generate incremental revenues.  The Cisco Application Engineered Routing solution can raise this interaction to a previously unachievable level. EPN resources require careful orchestration and that is being accomplished by the Evolved Services Platform (ESP).  We will take you through and show how the ESP engine orchestrates and automates EPN resources.   We invite you to test drive the ESP framework and gain understanding of the benefits and capabilities. Not only will you learn to operate within this framework but you will also understand how the ESP allows end users and enterprises to focus on their core business and lower their OpEx in their own turn.

Another key demo that we are bringing for the first time to Cancun is Cisco cBR-8. The Cisco cBR-8 is a next-generation Evolved Converged Cable Access Platform (CCAP) that helps cable operators support these services with the industry’s lowest TCO over the next five years. With this platform you can transform the network and business into a more agile architecture for future cable innovation that increases subscriber value with a resilient and highly secure platform.

It has become imperative to be able to efficiently orchestrate network resources, both virtual and physical, in a simplified manner. The Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO) enabled by Tail-f simplifies a process of provisioning services in both physical and virtual networks. NSO is model driven (NETCONF YANG) and thus speeds additions or changes to devices and service types, and improves service agility and flexibility.

Our next demo probably does not require special introduction: virtual Managed Services (vMS). To keep up with the rapid pace of change today, you are rethinking how you engage your customers to meet their business needs.  Cisco Virtual Managed Services help you meet these goals and opens a world of opportunities for success.   Stop by and learn in person how you can deploy new applications and network services at web speed.

We hand-picked all of our demos and we are making them available to you. You can learn about the technologies and how they will help you improve your network. We know business transformation is relevant to how you run your networks. That is why we are bringing SDN/NFV-based and other innovations to Cisco Live Cancun—so you can familiarize yourself with how you can improve the bottom line. All-in-all, it will be a great opportunity for us to share with you our latest stories.  Regardless of where you are traveling from we promise to make the days exciting and full of learning. Sunny Mexico awaits and we look forward to seeing you at Cisco Live Cancun!
