There have been a fair few articles touted about recently (the inevitable SL backlash) describing brand and corporate failures&quot;&quot; in Second Life.The conclusion always seems to be as follows:  All these smart, big name companies and agencies graced SL with their presence, but ended up wasting their money as noone turned up.  Hence it&#039;s obvious where the problem lies.  The medium is simply flawed!That sounds a bit like political activists blaming voters for being &quot;&quot;stupid&quot;&quot; after they have just lost an election!It&#039;s really very simple.  Ten years ago companies turned their web 1.0 websites into glorified ads and brochures, and found that they were on a hiding to nothing.  The same mistakes are being repeated in virtual worlds today, when as you say, dialogue, two way communication and adding value really are key here.&quot;]]></description>
