Executive Social Engagement

- March 22, 2011 - 0 Comments

Last week, the co-manager of the Cisco Networking Academy Facebook page (@HilalChouman) pointed out an amazing customer post to me.

Ricardo Beltran’s girlfriend had baked him a custom Cisco birthday cake that obviously showed his dedication to Cisco. He was so proud of it, that he shared it on the Networking Academy Facebook page for all 188k fans to see.

Look what my girlfriend gave me for my Birthday 😀
Pretty cool Huh?

We shared this with the VP and General Manager of the program here at Cisco, Amy Christen, and she was so impressed that she recorded a personalized birthday wish for Ricardo.

The response from the community and from Ricardo was excellent, and I would bet Cisco just created a loyal life-long customer with very little effort. Next up, calculate the customer lifetime value and evaluate the ROI on this engagement.
