Thank you for your feedback and sharing your experience. It's great to see we have similar approaches to the training philosophy, starting with the strategy and then showing participants how to apply them.

The role-based curriculum is really the best of both worlds as it encompasses the foundation, while giving practical applications within their responsibilities and charters. At the same time, it can be difficult to strike the right balance between providing the overall best practices and their specific needs which may not always match perfectly. We are going through this development as well. One way we are handling this is by using the "foundation" curriculum as the starting point and bringing in examples that are specific to the audience. It helps to put all of the pieces together all in one place and maximize their learning experience. And at the same time, it helps us scale without having to reinvent the curriculum for each group, when we know the principles are applicable across organizations. It's more about finding the examples and key takeaways that resonate with the audience and then assessing whether or not the coursework/tools were helpful to refine as needed. It's a learning process for all of us (no pun intended). Let's stay in touch. It sounds like you are doing great work in this area as well!

Will try to make it...looks like you've hit alot of key points. Organizational readiness is so key so I like the approach you have with focus on Strategy first. We can share knowledge and highlight successes but until you can be perscriptive and show a scaleable 'How-To' scenario, process, tool etc it's hard to create the consistentcy across the organization and increase specific competencies. I am sure you guy's can speak to many of the same challenges I have here at SAP in Learning Dev & Enablement. I am 1000% behind your view of training for specific audiences once your are beyond the foundational stuff. We've begun to shape role based curriculum as a result of specialized skills. Interested in any thoughts you guy's have encountered on this point.
