After setting up a new wireless router my desktop won't pick up the signal?! I've have it working on various routers over the years and I just can't figure out what the issue could be? Tried different security settings, turned off firewalls, turned firewalls back on. Purchased a new stick thinking that manybe my wireless card was too old but nothing is working. It works fine on my laptop though. Any ideas?

Hi Adaan,

The WAP321 is a replacement for the WAP4410N. I recommend you upgrade to the WAP321 as it has better features and security. As for your problems with your current connection, try calling Cisco Support or visit the Small Business Support Community <www.cisco.com/go/smallbizhelp> to see if you can have your questions answered. Also note that you might have the option of getting the device replaced with the Limited Lifetime Warranty.

Hey Karen,

I purchased a Linksys X2000 based, among other things, on your blog entry below.

"The new Linksys X2000 a Wireless-N ADSL 2+ Modem Router that works with either DSL or cable broadband connections."

I'm not great with tecnology but most people aren't. I have broadband cable internet and I was trying to replace both the modem and the router I rent from my provider. I apparently can't with this product. I still need a modem. Seems to contradict what you aree saying. Now I have a $90 piece of equipment I didn't need. Contact me on facebook please if you plan to. I won't be logging into this blog regularly.
