Security @ Cisco Live!
This year, Cisco Live! comes to Las Vegas where a record breaking 14,000 customers, partners and technical experts will converge on the Mandalay Bay Convention Center for five days of rich, deep interaction and discussion around all aspects of networking, including security.
At the Cisco main booth (Booth 1349) we are going to have a number of security demos, including:
The Cisco SecureX Architecture – two-part demo of how a holistic approach can deliver better security.
- Part 1: Cisco Cius and Apple iPad in a HIPAA/medical situation where MACSec, AnyConnect and other technologies are shown enabling secure data exchange with better security, compliance and confidentiality.
- Part 2: With access control enabled with TrustSec and ISE, we illustrate virtualized desktop capabilities on Cius and other endpoints, as well as content security with Cisco IronPort and ScanSafe.
Threat Defense – Cisco’s ASA firewall, IPS and Cisco Security Manager come together to illustrate robust and agile threat defense, including identity aware firewalling, as well as the contribution that global threat intelligence provided by Cisco Security Intelligence Operations makes to the realtime threat defense. We top all of this off with reporting and event correlation, because if nobody hears the tree fall…
Additional demos include secure virtualization with Virtual Desktop Services and virtualized application hosting, including an illustration of how a secure health care private/public cloud can be run using UCS Express and the ISR G2.
We also have a large number of security speaking sessions, including presentations on cloud and virtual security, NAC best practices, Identity and TrustSec, AnyConnect, 802.1x, ASA Troubleshooting and others. The complete session catalog is available here.
One of the fun things that we are going to have for customers at the show will be video interviews at the Security Video Wall of the main Cisco booth. We love to share customer stories, and in exchange for answering a few questions about your security concerns and experience with Cisco security gear, we will give you a $10 Starbucks card. It is a big show with lots to see, so recharging with a nice latte or a couple shots of espresso could come in handy 😉
Anyway, time for me to pack up my gear, video camera and Starbucks cards; this is going to be a great show. If you can come see us, tell ‘em you read about the security exhibits and demos on the Cisco Security blog. Oh, and by the way, if you can’t make it to the live version of Cisco Live!, we will also be doing a virtual event, which you can join for free. We will also provide coverage and information via the Cisco Security Facebook page, as well as the Cisco Security Twitter Feed. Thanks and hope to see you at the show!
