Cisco Security Specialist Certifications Align with Evolving Technologies and Job Roles

- February 2, 2011 - 0 Comments

Cisco is dedicated to developing certification and training programs that help customers and partners stay ahead of ever-increasing information security threats and vulnerabilities. The combination of new threats, compliance mandates, and the need to protect customer and organizational data has driven the demand for more efficient use of network security technologies and architectures.

Recently, Cisco enhanced its Security portfolio with the introduction of the CCNP(r) Security career certification program, which specifically addresses the growing demand for network security engineers. The new Cisco Security Specialist certifications announced today complement these industry-recognized Security career certifications by focusing on skills assessment for critical product and technology areas. The new certifications enable individuals to earn specialist recognition for in-demand areas such as VPN, IOS and Firewall security solutions, while achieving a professional certification. The new certifications also provide a professional development path involving continued education or recertification.
