Our customers can now use Cisco ASAv to protect their on-demand AWS workloads and achieve consistency across hybrid cloud environments. The Cisco Adaptive Security Virtual Appliance (ASAv) runs the same software as physical Cisco ASAs to deliver proven security functionality in a virtual form factor.
Cisco ASAv on the AWS Marketplace offers:

- Easy licensing for dynamic virtual environments
- Compatible with existing configuration and management tools
- AnyConnect and Clientless Remote Access VPN, Site-to-Site VPN

As business’ sensitivity to costs related to IT resources grows along with a demand for agility, we expect to see a greater adoption of corporate public clouds. The strengthening of public cloud security plays a key role for many companies’ cloud strategies. Our customers are looking to get the same security guarantees in the cloud that we have been providing for many years within traditional data-centers.
According to the Cisco Global Cloud Index (GCI), by 2018, 31% of the cloud workloads will be in public cloud data centers, up from 22% in 2013.
