Just a quick note today: Brock Palen and I just recorded an interview with Bill Gropp, MPI-2.2 Chair, and Rich Graham, MPI-3.0 Chair. Brock should be posting the podcast up on www.rce-cast.com within a week or so.
We discussed a little background on MPI (it always amazes me how many people who use MPI every day don’t really have a good grasp for what MPI is), what was just recently passed in the MPI-2.2 standard, and where the effort is going in the direction of MPI-3.0.
Note, too, that the MPI Forum user survey still needs your input — it runs through the end of this year (Dec 31, 2009). Finally, I posted the SC09 MPI Forum Birds-of-a-Feather session slides for your reading enjoyment. They include a nice breakdown of the current list of MPI-3.0 priorities.
Good stuff!
