Last evening during a global awards reception held at Cisco Partner Summit in Montreal, Canada, I had the distinguished privilege of recognizing the achievement of our top global partners for seizing new opportunities, unleashing innovations and empowering customers in all-new ways. Seventeen global partners were selected for their exemplary performance across several categories.
Take a look at some of the photos from last night.

It was a packed house this morning at the Palais de congrès de Montreal as Bruce Klein kicked off Cisco Partner Summit 2015. It has been a full day of announcements and breakout session, so as always, take a look at our recap video to get a taste of what today was like in Canada.
Being Bold is what this year’s Partner Summit is all about and when Bruce welcomed John to the stage, John wasted no time in announcing that Cisco is going to be bolder than ever.
“There is a transformation that’s going to digitize governments, companies and countries. Cisco has the ability to lead here. I truly think this next year is an inflection point where every company starts to become a digital company. If companies don’t change, they are going to be left behind, because either you disrupt, or you’re going to get disrupted,” John said. Read More »

Be Bold. That was the message that kicked off Cisco Partner Summit in fabulous Montreal. Our fearless leader John Chambers talked about Cisco’s bold ambitions to capture the unparalleled market opportunities created by digitization and the Internet of Everything. Then Bruce Klein outlined our bold vision of rallying a broad ecosystem of partners to capture these opportunities together.
Cisco’s bold visions aren’t just talk. As Henry Fold once warned: “Vision without execution is just hallucination.” We’re igniting the Cisco Partner Ecosystem around software and cloud. Today, Cisco introduced new and evolved partner programs designed to help partners build out their software practices and further expand hybrid IT capabilities.
Cisco Software Partner Program
We’ve heard loud and clear that partners want our help in growing their software business through a more structured approach. Cisco has made significant investments to broaden our software offers, delivery and buying models, and ecosystem capabilities to deliver business outcomes to customers. During the past couple of years, we’ve doubled down on software innovations through new product introductions, including Cisco ONE Software Suites, Cisco Connected Analytics, Cisco Cloud Suite and many others, as well as our recent company investments and acquisitions, including Embrane, MetaCloud, and Sourcefire. Our actions reinforce our words by demonstrating a commitment to enabling customer transformation, harnessing new growth opportunities, and providing greater agility through software.
Now it’s time to ignite our partner ecosystem. Announced today, the new Cisco Software Partner Program helps current and new partners capture profitable revenue streams and build competencies around software. This program provides partners with enablement resources, incentives, benefits and rewards to capitalize on the large software opportunity. Read More »

And away we go! We are here in Montreal, Canada this week for Cisco Marketing Velocity and Partner Summit 2015. It was great to see weeks of planning come to fruition at the kick off for Marketing Velocity.
Sherri Liebo, Vice President, Global Partner Marketing, welcomed everyone to Marketing Velocity and pointed out that all attendees will be part of Cisco Partner Summit for the remainder of the week. “Be Bold” is the theme for both events this year and integrating marketing professionals with the sales professionals throughout the week is a bold move that lets both teams experience the events together.
Who better to give you an idea of what Marketing Velocity was like than the folks who attended? Before we go any further, let’s take a look at what they had to say:

Each week, we’ll highlight the most important Cisco Partner Ecosystem news and stories, as well as point you to important, Cisco-related partner content you may have missed along the way. Here’s what you might have missed this week:
Off the Top
Well it’s here! It’s time! Early tomorrow morning I will board a plan and head to Montreal, Canada for Cisco Marketing Velocity 2015 and Cisco Partner Summit 2015. I’ve spent the last few weeks making sure you’re ready for these two huge events by asking things like, “Are You Ready for Cisco Marketing Velocity and Partner Summit?”. I have also introduced you to the Cisco Social Ambassadors for the two events.
I’ve walked you through Cisco Virtual Partner Summit (VPS) for those of you that won’t be onsite in Montreal. VPS is the perfect way to keep up with what’s going on throughout the week, even if you are not physically there.
This week I gave you one last checklist to make sure you’re prepared to hit the ground running with Cisco Marketing Velocity and Cisco Partner Summit, whether you’re actually in Canada, or participating via VPS. Also, just in case you didn’t see it last Friday, Bruce Klein and Canadian counterpart David De Abreu joined a podcast to provide a preview of Cisco Partner Summit 2015.
As you can imagine, next week is going to be a busy one on the Cisco Partner Blog. For that reason, we will not have a Cisco Partner Weekly Rewind blog on May 1. The Weekly Rewind will return on May 8 to wrap up all of our coverage of Marketing Velocity and Partner Summit.
I think you’re ready. I know I’m ready to get to Montreal and get this show on the road. See you in Canada! Read More »
