By the year 2015, 50% of all CIOs expect to operate the majority of their applications and infrastructures via the cloud.
If that statistic isn’t impressive enough on its own, the market for cloud will grow from $70B in 2010 to $172B by the year 2014 – that’s at 25% compounded annual growth.
To prepare our partners for this growth in cloud adoption, we are launching the Cisco Cloud Partner program with three tracks that map to three primary business models in the cloud marketplace. Partners can chose the track (or tracks) that best suit your business model.
Watch this video for details on the tracks and information about the sign up process.
Keep reading for more details and links to sign up.
The three new tracks are:
Cloud Builder: for partners that design and implement cloud-ready infrastructures or fully-provisioned private or public clouds. This designation validates partners’ competency in three aspects of building Cisco-centric clouds: Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Management Applications, and Cloud Professional Services.
Cloud Provider for companies that are in the business of offering public cloud services to the market “X-as-a-Service.” This track supports and enables our Cloud Provider partners to sell their own “Cisco Powered” branded cloud services.
Cloud Services Reseller, complementary to the Cloud Provider track, becomes an additional route to market for the Cloud Provider. Cloud Services Resellers are partners that offer ‘white-label’ or resell a Cloud Provider’s “Cisco Powered” Cloud Service.
All details of the program along with requirements and benefits are posted on Partner Central.
Now you’re probably wondering, how do I sign up?
To enroll in Cloud Provider and/or Cloud Services Reseller, simply select the specific track in the Cisco Certification and Application tool and respond to cloud-specific questions you see.
Once you’ve completed the form, submit a formal application via MSCP’s current Master/Advanced/Express applications.
To enroll in the Cloud Builder/Cloud Infrastructure or Cloud Application Integrator programs, select the specific tier under the Cloud Partner Program in the Partner Program Enrollment tool, respond to the Cloud-specific questions, then submit your application.
Enrollments are valid for one year, so you’ll need to re-enroll in the program. (Don’t worry: A notification will be sent to remind you 90, 60, and finally 30 days prior to expiration.) If you want to upgrade from a Cloud Infrastructure role to a Cloud Builder role at any point, no problem. You will be upgraded at any time once you achieve the competencies and meet the requirements.
