Cisco @ 25: It’s All About Partners
Today Cisco celebrates its 25th birthday, the big 2-5. It’s hard to believe that Cisco began so modestly in December 1984 when two Stanford professors Len Bosack and Sandy Lerner created the multiprotocol router.
Over the years, Cisco has set numerous milestones: more than 7000 patents issued, pioneering a channel partner program, surpassing direct sales with channel sales, and launching a partner talent network.
But enough about us! As Edison Peres — Senior Vice President of WW Channels Go-to-Market Group — says, “We wouldn’t be who are today, without you, our partners.”
In commemoration of 25 years and as a personal thank you for your support and loyalty over the years, our executive team from all around the globe grabbed their Flip cameras and filmed a video message to share with you:
Now it’s time for you to share your thoughts, any interesting Cisco factoids or trivia you may know, stories you’d like to share, and any video messages. You can also post a response video on You Tube and we may feature it here on the Channels blog.
Here’s our first video response — from VP of Emerging Markets Milo Schacher. (Thanks for sending this in!)
Thanks for your support, your partnership, and loyalty. Let’s celebrate!
