You’ve likely seen the news of the Cisco Cius, our new, mobile collaboration, first-of-its- kind HD video-capable Business Tablet. However, you may have missed the demonstration of Cius yesterday at CiscoLive in Las Vegas.
Here it is in its entirety with Cisco Chairman and CEO John Chambers and Jim Grubb, Cisco’s Chief Demo guy. Let us know what you think. We think it is pretty relevant…and pretty cool.
Part II

Hands-on Demo of the Cisco Cius from CiscoLive! show floor:

This product is amazing. The quality of video is astonishing. I really like how one could easily collaborate with the other user and the video conferencing. Could you see this product replacing smart phones in 5 to 10 years?
Great product!!!I can’t wait to lay my hands on one of those!!!!
Hey John!Great videos I want my own Business Tablet
We are keen to do take up applied devices connected with technology .Pl contact us for more information thanks
Great device ! With a cool name like Cius, HD video, bluetooth 3 and Google Android as operating system, is a good candidate to the best of the category.
Awesome stuff !! Cisco Rocks !!This takes smart phones to the next level…
Wow,This product is amazing.I can’t wait to lay my hands on one of those!!!!
This could be helpful for me!
This is an awesome gadget for the teamwork. Good job Cisco!
This looks great, I think it could have a big impact on classroom dynamics. Really cool how it integrates with your other solutions!
This is really quite something but is it really going to definitely happen?
Wow! This looks cool. Kind of like an iPad for business-minded! How much would one approximately cost in India?
This is what happened when a business phone and an iPad got babies… nice!
Videos: trim the first 2:30 off the first video and jump in to the meat. At the very least, drop the 40 seconds of dead space at the beginning. Also, the embedded video widgets could benefit from the use a full-screen”" button. What is the value-add of the additional SDK on top of the Android platform? Will its use be open to other parties? Are we collaborating with Google at all? Will students with non-Cius tablets be at a particular disadvantage or is the vision that students with Android devices will be able to interact to the full extent of their individual capabilities? What is the projected price-point for this technology, especially the student tablets? How close does Cisco’s efforts come to the “”hundred dollar laptop”" vision? This is exciting technology for sure! Bravo!Sincerely,-daniel”
nice gadget, how can I find this product?Cisco note: Cisco Cius website can be accessed here: http://www.cisco.com/go/cius/
Nice device. And yes it looks like iPad.The videos are great by the way
Thank you.
This is cool, much slicker than the ipad. Did I miss the price? I would love to have a capable and protable item like this for my classroom!
I would love to see how this does in comparison to the iPad. It seems to me like Cius focuses on the people who actually buy gadgets to help themselves make more money. The iPad is geared much more towards the image-conscious consumers.
Nice work! This is an awesome gadget for the teamwork. Good job Cisco!
Very nice. I’ll say it’s even better than iPad. What will be the pricerange for Europe?
HD video, bluetooth 3 and Google Android as operating system, is a good candidate to the best of the category.
Wow. What an amazing piece of kit. My childs school needs this equipment. What are the costs approximately?
Videophones are here! Not only are they here, they’re in HD too! This is wonderful news, i can’t wait to see this in the market more, it will really help social connectivity.
The Cius is a rather sleek looking device and large corporations will definitely go for it. I do not think the Cisco name alone is going to justify the five-times mark-up relative to other premium business-phones. The videos are awesome
Great job at converging video, collaboration, and mobility! I’m looking forward to seeing all of the innovative applications.
Congratulations, this is a great solution capable of delivering the Cloud computing benefits over a mobile device for end users. A real enterprise productivity tool!
Many analysts predict that this kind of solution is the laptop nemesis; however, I’d like to know your opinion about the impact of business tablets on the VDI market. VDI technologies adoption seems not to take off at the expected speed while the adoption of tablets by end users is accelerating at exponential speeds. Given that Cius delivers many collaboration services including a web interface; a company using cloud based apps (like Soho or Google Apps) would be able to provide at least its “task users” with all the tools required to perform their job getting rid of the PC and also of the traditional desktop OS (ie Windows). Would Cius then become an alternative to VDI at least for “task users”?
