As Cisco heads to EMC Forum 2012 in Sydney tomorrow, we’re excited to announce that the Seventh Day Adventist Church employed Tecala’s VSPEX offering with Cisco and VMware to eliminate the planning, sizing and configuration burden when the organisation moved from a physical to a virtual server environment.

The shift to a virtualised IT environment can be an intimidatingly complex and difficult task for any business. Not so anymore with the first Australian EMC VSPEX solution on Cisco and VMware delivered by Tecala Group with the Seventh Day Adventist Church (see press release here).

The Church’s move to virtualisation saw it add more virtual machines per server, growing from 80 to 110. Storage has at least doubled. Ultimately, VSPEX was able to bring 2,500 users and 20 sites throughout Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands online in a fraction of the time it took before.

Tecalca is now offering a pre-packaged, virtualised IT environment, based on the renowned EMC VSPEX core infrastructure with VMware and the Cisco Unified Computing System.  The collaboration of these premier brands is making virtualisation a less daunting prospect and a more promising improvement to cost and time efficiency.
