New Zealand Federal Government to Host Inaugural Telework Week

- September 11, 2012 - 0 Comments

Last week, Cisco and other leading New Zealand businesses, public sector organisations and not-for-profits joined the New Zealand Federal Government in announcing its first National Telework Week.

New Zealand’s Communications and Information Technology Minister Amy Adams stated that “The aim is for businesses to learn more about teleworking and consider how it might benefit them and their employees. It is timely for businesses to think about telework and the options an ultra-fast broadband workplace provides.”

In a strong statement of Trans-Tasman unity on the importance of the tangible business value that teleworking delivers to business, both Australia and New Zealand will host their inaugural National Telework Weeks from Nov. 12-16, 2012.

Australia announced its National Telework Week earlier this year and Cisco was one of the initial supporters along with partners IBM, Intel and Telstra.
