Vote Cisco CEO John Chambers for Time 100

Last year, Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield & Byers partner uber-venture capitalist John Doerr wrote a nice essay on Cisco CEO’s John Chambers passion and focus on collaboration and education for the Time 100 list.  This was the first year that Chambers made the list.

This year, he is listed as a “finalist” and, as of this writing, is currently ranked in 6th position behind such luminaries as Comedy Central’s Stephen Colbert and Korean pop superstar Rain.

We would love your vote for John Chambers for this year’s list.  Sure, I may be drinking the kool-aid, but the network has only gotten more important from year to year, not less.  Anytime, anywhere access to the web from any device was the vision that Chambers espoused early in his tenure as CEO of Cisco - which started in 1995.  He clearly is one of the nation’s most respected leaders, not only in technology, but business in general.  If you are so inclined, you can vote for him (or others) here.

Give me a passionate CEO any day over those for whom it is just a job. Passion is infectious and brings energy to any subject.
