Cisco Statement on Industry Consolidation

While Cisco has a healthy respect for all of our competitors, acquisitions in our industry only validate the fact that networking is becoming the platform for all forms of communications and IT.  As the leader in the networking market, Cisco is very confident in our business strategy, commitment to product innovation and ability to provide strategic business value to our customers in a highly competitive marketplace.

I understand that ITIL and PPDIOO are both frustrating to work with at times. But they do offer a way to organize very large roll outs and very large projects. For the most part I would prefer to not have to use ITIL or PPDIOO. However recently I’ve been involved with a tremendous global network implementation involving 65 offices in over 23 countries. With a project of this scale having some guidelines to work by is extremely helpful. If I had a choice I prefer PPDIOO over ITIL. It is Cisco’s standard and much more granular.

The standard of cisco is global and is what i have come to know. I have seen it everywhere and it is also in great demand. many countries also are increasingly recognizing it now.

Cisco has become one of this planet’s top leading companies. I travel to many countries and see that the Cisco brand is not only there but is increasingly more popular than the competition.
