Cisco Introduces the ASR 9000 for the Edge

Pankaj Patel, SVP and GM of the Service Provider Group at Cisco, introduces the Cisco Aggregation Services Router 9000 Series.  It is the second major addition to Cisco’s router portfolio this year after the Cisco ASR 1000 was introduced in March 2008.  With the 92-Terabit Cisco CRS-1 Carrier Routing System (CRS) in the core, Cisco offers the most comprehensive core and edge solution to meet customer speed and scaling needs in the Zettabyte EraPress release here.

I’m excited about selling this.  Although I can still sell the Cisco3845 and Cisco7206VXR smile  I’m expecting ASR Series Routers to be a huge success.
