Blogging Disclosure Best Practices

Blogging about blogging is one of my favorite things to do.  Not.  : )

However, I thought it important to note that The Blog Council, where Cisco is a member, today released a best practices toolkit that is “a draft series of checklists to help companies, their employees, and their agencies learn the appropriate and transparent ways to interact with blogs, bloggers, and the people who interact with them.”  You can view it here and as it is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial License, you are invited to share and change the document as much as you like.

You can view Cisco’s “Internet Postings Policy” here.  Enjoy.

Hi John,

Thanks for the post. We definitely appreciate the support you and the Cisco team have given to the Blog Council since joining.

It’s going to be interesting to see how other companies use the Toolkit in their discussions about disclosure.

Cheers,
Michael
