About a half hour after I asked the question, the news broke about the extended offer. It will be interesting to see how the dissident Tandberg shareholders respond. My math says Cisco, if it is to reach the approval threshold of 90 percent of all tendered shares, will need to convince two thirds of the naysayers to change their minds. That’s a tall order. Cisco’s other options are to sweeten the offer or to walk away.
