CGI: President Clinton, President Obama and Matt Damon

September 23, 2009 at 12:00 pm PST

This evening, former U.S. President Bill Clinton introduced current U.S. President Barack Obama at Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) in New York, NY.  President Obama thanked President Clinton for the great work of CGI and for all the attendees in the room for volunteering and giving back. President Clinton said, “Everybody’s got something to give” whether it is time, money, expertise, etc.

See a slice of the plenary session in this video, as well as Cisco CEO John Chambers using a Flip Video Camera to capture President Obama speaking. The famous head directly in front of Chambers that you may recognize is Matt Damon who was at the session today to talk about Water.org, an organization he is active in and passionate about (full video of Damon below).

  1. It’s good to see artist commiting to importante issues. They’re important (and respected) public figures and people look up to them.

  2. Nice video — shame the music was too loud to hear anything that was said.
