Another Smart Hire for Cisco Smart Grid Team
In March of this year I was thrilled when Jeff Taft from Accenture joined Cisco’s Smart Grid team as the Global Smart Grid Architect. As a 25 year veteran of the energy and technology sectors, I knew this globally recognized expert would help accelerate Cisco’s Smart Grid strategy.
Today, I am equally excited about Paul De Martini joining the Cisco Smart Grid team as Chief Technology Officer. Paul joins us from Southern California Edison (SCE) where he was vice president of Advanced Technology, leading SCE’s smart grid strategy, policy and technology development.
Also a recognized expert in the energy and utility industries, Paul will take Cisco’s smart grid leadership team and strategy to a new level. He’s a member of the National Institute of Standards and Technology IST Smart Grid Interoperability Governing Board, the Edison Electric Institute’s (EEI) Y2030 Strategic Planning Committee and the Electric Power Research Institute’s (EPRI) Intelligrid program.
With his firsthand experience at a large and progressive utility as well as his expertise in regulatory matters, he adds valuable perspective and insight to an already talented team.
