To me, the AXP announcement at Partner Summit was the most significant announcement from Cisco in years. While products like Nexus and ASR are highly visible products that provide immediate value for Cisco partners and customers, AXP's impact won't be seen broadly for a while, but its impact will be significant. The usage of AXP embed network intelligence into applications is the first, true, SONA product and a realization of Cisco's promise to make the network a platform. Historically, one could argue that the Cisco network was a platform but it's been a platform for other Cisco things. AXP allows Cisco to be a platform for other products creating new revenue streams for Cisco partners and allows the partners to be much more "C level relevant"

Personally, I'm excited about what this promises and looking forward to seeing Cisco and it's partners evolve over the next few years.
