Recent articles indicate that manufacturing activity in the U.S. continues to expand and global industrial production is positive in spite of softness in a few geographies. This is a great rebound from the trough of 2009. Productivity gains have fueled much of the recent rebound and leading companies are looking for more. Several years ago a leading manufacturing company, GE, asked Cisco to develop a new collaborative environment for distributed teams.
Leaders have implemented new working environments, such as the Cisco Active Collaboration Room. Now there is a movement to bring forward the next environment for team productivity, rapid decision making, and distributed collaboration. The development of new working environments will accelerate, driven by a need to enable distributed teams for innovation, business management, and optimization. Announcing the Cisco Manufaturing & Energy Facebook page!
Today we officially launch our Facebook page for Cisco Manufacturing & Energy.
We are launching this page for two main reasons:
First, we are expanding our blog platform and team. In addition to our original manufacturing industry team, we are adding thought leaders and experts from Cisco’s oil, gas, and energy teams.
Second, Facebook, as a social networking platform, is an excellent forum for discussion. It gives all users a simple environment in which to exchange ideas, articles, and opinions. It is where you will find videos, blogs, pictures and many other things related to the manufacturing, oil, gas, and energy industries. It is also a place where new contacts and relationships can be made, so be sure to get involved and engaged! Read More »
As many of you know Cisco Live UK will soon be held at the end of this month – that’s from January 30th through Feb 3rd in London. Cisco Live is actually Cisco’s flagship event of the year for customers and partners and offers an unparalleled combination of education and training on the latest technologies and industry trends.
This year, we’re going to have a major presence with our very own Cisco Industrial Solutions Booth. Targeted at manufacturers in industries like Automotive, Food & Beverage and Consumer Packaged Goods, as well as organizations in Transportation, Oil and Gas, and utilities like Water and Waste Water Treatment, the booth will showcase our capabilities in industrial networking, wireless networks, collaboration and more.
Recently, Peter Granger discovered that making viral videos for Cisco Live UK isn’t always easy. Unfortunately, Andrew has discovered this as well. While everyone at Cisco always conducts themselves with the utmost professionalism, sometimes, things don’t always go according to plan:
Cisco Live UK is only 2 weeks away and we invite you to join us Jan 30-Feb 3rd in London for our flagship technical training, networking and education event. Read More »
