She moved away and I lost touch with her and recently found her on facebook. She is suffering from situational depression after losing her son. It got me thinking, wouldn’t Umi be perfect those dealing with illness, or depression, those that are alone or the elderly, even those in abusive relationships. Friends and loved ones could see them when calling to check in on them, sometimes we aren’t always aware what someone is dealing with over the phone. I think everyone who has an elderly or sick relative living alone and at a distance should have an Umi.
