Watch the NBA D-League Score with Cisco WebEx [video]

- November 30, 2011 - 1 Comment

Sixteen teams in different locations participated in this year’s NBA Development League Draft using Cisco WebEx as their connection to players and coaches to see and be seen! From California to Texas, to Nevada to Maine, everyone was connected either by computer or mobile device to experience the excitement of the draft.

The draft was held on November 3, 2011. It was a two hour event with eight rounds and a total of 128 picks. Participants joined WebEx from their homes, office and a few were at draft parties in restaurants. Those with webcams were able to share their reactions while others could watch from their computer or mobile phones – even iPads!

The event opened with the New York NBA D-League office sharing a presentation featuring all team logos and draft order. As each team made their selection there was a slide showing selected player’s photo and career resume. In parallel with the WebEx, the D-League’s Facebook page was updated with the draft picks and included chat and photos from the event. With WebEx’s integrated recording capabilities, the entire event was recorded so it can be posted and watched again.

The NBA D-League was thrilled with how WebEx broke the barriers of geography, providing a solution that was personal, immediate and even mobile – so anyone who wanted to participate was able to do so!

Find out what WebEx can do to help your team win!
