Cisco ūmi: “Can you see me now? Good!”

- October 8, 2010 - 3 Comments

On Wednesday, over 50 business, technology, consumer and broadcast media, as well as industry analysts and bloggers lined up in downtown San Francisco to see what Cisco had in-store for a new consumer experience.

The crowd walked in to see banners surrounding the venue of families sitting together inside of a high definition television and a stage with a box sitting on top of 103 inch HD television. Soon enough, Cisco revealed the latest addition to the Cisco consumer products family, Cisco ūmi, high definition video calling with up to 1080p resolution.

Flip sponsored Cisco ūmi Flip cameras which were distributed to encourage the media to tape their personal experience of the product.

Check out Gina Clark, Vice President and GM of Cisco’s consumer telepresence business unit, on her personal experience on how Cisco ūmi telepresence fits into her life and makes it easier to stay connected with her family.

With Cisco ūmi bringing technology inside your living room, what better time than to join in and start using the new catch-phrase for 2011 “Can you SEE me now? Good!”

If you haven’t already, “Like” the Cisco ūmi Facebook Fan Page and enter to win a ūmi system for you and a friend. This offer is valid October 6, 2010 at 9:45AMPST until November 13, 2010 at 11:59 PST.
